American Privilege is hard to see. Especially when you're an American. This blog is about how Americans have it easy. Please submit your own American Privilege facts.

Americans complain too much about "social injustices" that have little to no affect on their lives. This blog is here to show how easy Americans have it even when they think they have it so rough.

Male privilege is my mom telling me that I have to earn my keep by doing chores, but my guy cousin, who does absolutely nothing all day, lives with us for free, and asks for rides everyday has to do no chores, whatsoever.

“Wah! Life is unfair. I cant believe mom makes me do all the chores! Wah wah! Im so oppressed because I have to do all the chores. The only possible explaination is because im a female. Wah wah!” …this post.

  • qoa is superior: Political Correctness sounds like Newspeak.

    qoafosho:

Newspeak was the official language of Oceania, and had been devised to meet the ideological needs of Ingsoc, or English Socialism. In the year 1984 there was not as yet anyone who used Newspeak as his sole means of communication, either in speech or writing. The leading articles of the Times were…

  • This culture really grinds my gears. This culture that grew up during the self esteem movement who were raised with no competition, told every person is a special unique little snowflake, and never experienced failure because grown ups wanted to us all to have high self esteem instead of teaching the importance of character. Then the children grow up with high esteem but fragile egos that whine, bitch, and cry when someone tells them the truth that theyre not as special as they were raised to believe. And then they all go online and complain how unfair life is. We live in a country of softies who dont feel they have to go and prove themselves and instead think if they whine and complain enough on the internet or on a street corner theyll receive sympathy and eventually get their way.

  • Feminism is not an attempt to gain equality. It is an attempt to over power.

  • aboutmaleprivilege:

Cis het male privilege is being able to go out with a group of cis het male friends to nightclubs and bars and just have a “boy’s night”, without ever being sexually propositioned, verbally/physically/sexually harassed, or being on the receiving end of predatory glances. Cis het male privilege is going out with your mates with no intention or desire to “hook up”, and not having the theme of sex ever pervade your good time.

Obviously this person has never been out on a “dudes night.” Do you really think a group of dudes go out to night clubs to hang out? The whole reason theyre there is to hook up.

  • I wish that instead of calling it “losing your virginity,” everyone referred to it as your “sexual debut”.

More PC bullshit. Just another case of people trying to make their problems everyones problems.

Male privilege is being able to show your body hair without your sister pulling it, petting it, or poking it, because she thinks it’s so funny that you have hair on your armpits and legs.

All I can say is you made the choice to do something thats not accepted easily in our society. You cant expect anybody to just be ok with you going against the grain. Its just like how I made the choice in high school to dress differently and dye my hair blue. I didnt expect anyone to accept it. In fact I went to school expecting maliciousness behavior from my peers. And even the fear of being verbally and physically assaulted didnt stop me from being comfortable. If you dont have the courage to face the difficulties of being different then maybe being different isnt for you.
